Pete stop hiding behind Robot! But as Pete knows so much about publishing I shall let it go. However can you clarify something for me regards Copyright. Does it stop applying 70 years after the authors death? or is it longer or does it just continue to apply.
Nabila you were right!

how long

does copyright run for? Depends on the country among other factors! PS. It won't always be me moderating the blogspace, hence 'robot'! Thinking abut your caption '400 years old poem' if the poem is that old, its pretty certain to be post-able. Not sure about the translation though, which may be modern?

Thanks Pete. the robot needs

This is sensational. I read it a few times and guessed the Hindi words. Then read in English ...Wonderful. Thanks for sharing. With ref. to Clare's earlier poem, this is the essence of what I could hear in her work in terms of repetition. Amazing how we can read in one language and hear another. (Not sure can type out whole poem Vijay r.e. copyright)

Rumi (1207 -1273) wrote one very similar:

I have read this so many times and each time it says something new to me.

Glad you liked it. I've heard of Rumi but never read any of his poetry, thanks for that link. Copyright, what's that? that's for us mortals oppressed by rules, Kabir's poetry is true knowledge to be shared by all. That's what he wanted and I'm sure he won't mind.

it was a slight warning that it may be removed!

Last time I did that it was shortened to two lines by the 'moderator! but I agree with u totally - it's there to be shared
