I've Been There Too (4:36)

You think you're the only one to suffer
You think yours is the only point of view
Father or mother, sister or brother
Anyone can show you the proof

(Chorus)
I know how it feels to be alone
Battered, lonely, hurt and bruised
Pick your time, then pick up the phone
I'll understand, 'cuz I've been there too

It's hard to believe there are others out there
Doesn't it seem strange we all have a link
I wanna kill the pain before it's too much to bear
There's nothing worse than too much time to think

(Chorus)

(Instrumental)

(Bridge)

Maybe we can put our heads together
Maybe it's gonna work out just fine
It won't be like this forever
We have to put our lives on the line

(Chorus)

Don't you wanna see the end of the rage
A fury so real, you should be on the stage
I'm not the enemy you perceive me to be
I'm just trying to make you see

(Chorus)

(Repeat verse 1 and chorus to end)

Love it Nadrock, your work

Love it Nadrock, your work is fab! : ) x

Real

Thanks very much Karla! That's really nice to hear! As I've perhaps mentioned before, I've been wanting to write songs again for a few years now (prior to the songs I started writing last summer, of which these two are included) I hadn't written any for about 6 years. I'm really in the zone now and have returned to my first creative love - music. I've started singing in public again after quite a long break from it - about 3 years. Rest assured, there's plenty more where this came from - since July 2008 I've been writing songs like mad - there are now about 65 in total - 51 of which have been recorded during jam sessions with a friend. Thanks again for the feedback, it's really encouraging!

Hi Karla, I know it's been

Hi Karla,

I know it's been ages - how's it going? Been sooooo busy over the last few months - this is the first time I've been on the blog for weeks! How did London go? Okay I hope, you've real talent! I'm sure you'll go far - I particularly enjoy the emotional honesty of your material. Anyway, if you want to contact me, you can reach me on my myspace email address which is tranzmissionrock@yahoo.co.uk or call/text me on 07772 292346.

Have a great summer!

Hi Karla, No worries -

Hi Karla,

No worries - Nadrock is just my user name but I don't mind. I've got a Myspace site now as I may have mentioned before. If you've not been on it yet, here's the address: www.myspace.com/tranzmissiontherockband. Do please have a listen! That's probably the best place to catch me on at the moment as I'm normally on there quite a lot these days. I have a blog that you can leave comments on. You might have to register your email on there with a password but do please get in touch and you can become one of our friends on the site if you like! I'm in the process (be it somewhat of a slow one) of getting more material together and I have a few people interested in working with me on the songs further (just waiting to hear back from them) so I'll let you know what unfolds.

Once again, cheers for the positive feedback - it's always nice to hear from you! My friend Tom and I have only had the site for about a month but it's starting to pick up nicely. Do tell your friends about us and ask them to have a listen to our stuff!

As usual, this has unintentionally become a really long reply! Apols for droning on (again!). Do let me know how it goes in London - good luck!

Peace out!

Nadeem

(P.S. Tom and I have 5 songs on our site at the moment and I've also posted the lyrics on our blog - do have a read of them and listen to the songs themselves. You don't have to be signed in to listen to the songs as they are on the homepage.)

fab meaning

Dear commentator, thanks for the comment. Generally we dont encourage mere praise here. Please expand by saying why you think it is fab- such an approach is more helpful to the writer!

Sorry

Love your work as it's real! It feels honest and passionate. Get it on you Tube Nadrock, lets have a listen! : )

a joan armatrading

type song? If there is a favourite line it is

"Pick your time, then pick up the phone"

I like its brevity and the wit of the word play. The only other line that intrigues as poem rather than song for me is
"A fury so real, you should be on the stage"

with its circular logic: real v stage (ie stage is unreal usually)

I am happy to merely imagine you singing it!

I've Been There Too

Thanks very much Pete - I've really been getting into songwriting in the last year or so. It's given me another means of creative expression so I'm glad you like it!
