Obviously I got some key essentials wrong on MJ. Should know better than to take newspapers too seriously. Word is that he's on this Relaxant and that something else.
With running one natural spinoff is an improvement to one's psychological health. Less need of medicating. Seems to be universally true.
I went out today and usually do so about every other day.
A disheartening thing for me - I've kept this up for over a year and a half now - is I see so many drop out after one go or two. They look so good as well many of them
A little thing I've noticed is that the great majority of them run on the paved pathway in the park. My body protests very vigorously unless I run on grass throughout. It's too jarring

female perspective :-)
Interesting....
Jogging does nothing for me - i see it as a dangerous exercise, esp. after having two kids. Felt more pain and discomfort ,gave it up years ago - guess it is not as popular for women. I have a high metabolism so I even have to watch how much exercise I do lol! the doc told me that because I lose weight rapidly.
my exercise is all in housework :-) scrubbing skirting boards, oven , etc ( I have a very clean house) but I use my husband's indoor gym too, although is incredibly boring, dull, monotonous (not his gym, the process).I ould rather be outside.
Eat everything you like, enjoy food, don't diet, but eat in moderation.
A long walk in the hills on Sunday not only keeps me fit but inspires me to write too. I don't think we walk enough in this country. I am guilty of it too - reliant on my car
Fair enough Nabila I won't
Fair enough Nabila I won't be dogmatic about it. I'll only say that for some considerable time I was staunchly anti-running as I always got injured by it and by other forms of exercise too. But I've handled that with the methods I've written-up on here.
Also, I learned a couple of days ago that running might interfere with some people's good looks! Sagging at the face or some similar thing. Power-walking is meant to be the handling for that! I never could make clear sense of this power-walking business before...
Best of luck with what you do

So true
running is a great relaxant. And running on grass better for you and more pleasant! Now for running across dry sand!
Hi Ed, I agree you cannot
Hi Ed,
I agree you cannot beat running in general, i think alot of people give up on running because they don't mentally prepare for it and try to do too much. Steady progress in all physical activities.
Yeah. What handles the
Yeah. What handles the 'mental bit' for me is reading up some good stuff on running. The best that I've found is by Ken Cooper. Dr Kenneth Cooper. He had the whole US Army I think for guinea pigs so what he writes up is just more thorough - better. If you don't have real good mental reinforcement like this you fall by the wayside quicker. I've got 2 of his books and they're real cheap on Amazon
On the 'do too much' bit I'll answer that somewhere else on this blog
