My thoughts on a Black President:
I wanted to wait and let the result sink in before I submitted this blog, because I really wanted to think about how this result will effect the rest of the world.
Having spent 3 months in the states this year especially Atlanta Georgia, I could feel the tension building to such a scale that no other result would have sufficed.
As I look through my photos of my holiday, how ironic is it that the ones that stands out to me, are of the Martin Luther King Centre. The comparison of the two men will no doubt be assessed, but I hope Baracks oratory skills will bring new and fresh, I HAVE A DREAM TYPE SPEECHES.
I do not know whether it's a good or bad thing to have a Black president, only time will tell. But I hope he is given the chance to stamp his views and ideologies on America without the threat of some crazy sniper intervening.
So all the best Barack and don't be afraid to make a difference, remember the late great Jimmy Hendrix and his version of the national anthem.

What an incredible few days!
What an incredible few days! still hungover from toasting America's new president & our new grand prix world champion. both black men!! after years of negative and stereotypical images we have a new vision. my daughter lives in LA and said after the result little black boys were going around saying 'I can be President!' Agree with many of your comments. but no denying the enormous boost this has given african americans...to see a black family in the white house. so many nuances in that one sentence.
our hopes and fears go with you Barrack -wish you well
