My partner wanted to share her feelings for the loss of her dad on 11/5/08, his name was William Brown Murray.
Well dad, where do I start,
I think the best place would be from the heart,
You have been in my life for 29 years,
Through much joy and happiness and sometimes tears,
Your kindness and humour could never be replaced,
You never failed to put a smile on my face,
You're someone so special,
Nobody could ever take your place,
My memories will last forever,
An eternity beyond trace,
So dear dad, I guess it's time for me to say goodbye for now,
It's not forever as I know,
I'll see you in paradise someday, somehow.

A lovely tribute and way of
A lovely tribute and way of expressing your self about the loss of your father! I believe poetry is a great form of expression when you have experienced such a loss, and also a way of expressing dedication and a form of healing! With a great ending of hope!!
poem
Perhaps poetry was invented for moments and feelings that run too deep for ordinary conversation or prose- moments like the one described here. I only hope if/when life throws such a challenge at me, I can fnd words in the way you have -Pete
